Pineapple Mango Lime Smoothie Bowl
Why this recipe works
- Ready fast: The fruit, coconut milk and lime blend into a complete bowl in minutes, with only a quick coconut toast for texture.
- Thick and creamy: Very ripe banana and well-shaken coconut milk give the base a smooth, spoonable consistency without dairy.
- Crisp topping contrast: Toasted coconut and chia seeds break up the creamy fruit base with light crunch and nutty fragrance.

Texture tips
- For a thicker bowl: Start with less coconut milk and add more only as needed to help the blender move.
- Keep toppings crisp: Let the toasted coconut cool fully before adding it, and scatter toppings on just before serving.
Ingredient notes
- Use ripe fruit: Ripe mango, pineapple and banana give the bowl its sweetness and smooth texture, reducing the need for extra sweetener.
- Balance with lime: Add lime to taste if the fruit is especially sweet; it sharpens the tropical flavour and keeps the bowl refreshing.
- Shake the coconut milk: Well-shaken coconut milk blends more evenly, giving a consistent creamy base rather than separate watery and rich layers.
Make-ahead tips
- Best served straight away: The bowl has the best texture when freshly blended and cold.
- Short prep ahead: The blended base can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours, then briefly re-blended before serving.
- Add toppings last: Keep coconut flakes and chia seeds separate until serving so they retain their texture.

Tips
- For a thicker, spoonable bowl, start with less coconut milk, then add a little more only if the blender needs help.
- Toast the coconut flakes first and let them cool before topping, so they stay crisp against the smoothie.
Substitutions
- Replace maple syrup with palm sugar, dissolved into the coconut milk, for a more traditional sweetness.
Storage
- Refrigerate up to 1 days
- Best eaten straight away. If you need to prep ahead, refrigerate the blended base for up to 24 hours and re-blend briefly; add coconut flakes and chia seeds just before serving.
