Tropical Protein Smoothie
Why this recipe works
- Fast to make: Everything is blended together in one step, giving a smooth, filling drink in minutes.
- Creamy without heaviness: Greek yoghurt, milk and banana create body and richness while keeping the smoothie fresh and drinkable.
- Bright fruit balance: Lime juice and zest lift the sweetness of mango, pineapple and banana so the flavour stays lively rather than flat.

Ingredient notes
- Use ripe fruit: Ripe mango, pineapple and banana give the smoothie its natural sweetness, so the honey can be adjusted at the end rather than added automatically.
- Adjust the lime last: Add a little more lime juice after blending if the smoothie tastes too sweet or needs extra brightness.
Texture tips
- For a thicker smoothie: Chill the fruit before blending so the drink stays cold and creamy without needing ice.
- Blend until fully smooth: Run the blender on high until the mango and pineapple fibres are completely broken down.
Make-ahead tips
- Best served fresh: The texture is at its smoothest straight after blending, when the fruit and yoghurt are fully emulsified.
- If storing briefly: Refrigerate in a sealed container and shake or re-blend before serving to bring back a smooth consistency.
